Hundreds come out to play for Laniado
The sun shone down on close to 1,000 people who came out to enjoy a major fete organised by the Laniado Ladies Committee at JFS.
Inflatables, rides, stalls, shawarma and candy floss kept hundreds of families busy in support of the Maternity Centre at Laniado Hospital in Netanya. For children from infants to teens, there was something to keep everyone busy including a 'beat-the-goalie' game organised by Gideon Josephs, face painting and cookie making. The adults kept themselves amused browsing and shopping from the vendor stalls present with jewellery, shoes, flowers and more.
Ladies Committee Organiser, Tracey Dunn said, "We've have had some great feedback and there is huge demand to make this an annual event. We are thrilled that it went so well, and we bought awareness to so many who did not know what Laniado does and to what we believe is a wonderful charity."
The day raised more than £7000 and attracted about 600 new donors to the charity, bringing Laniado into the foray and making it a vibrant, accessible presence on the Jewish charity scene.
