In 1975, Netanya’s population stood at 80,000 with no local Hospital. Today Laniado Hospital has 450 beds on a large campus. Laniado provides a broad range of essential services and facilities to the region’s otherwise neglected needs including:

The superb Diagnostic Services Laniado Hospital offers include state-of-the-art Medical Laboratories; an outstanding Radiology Department complimented by a CT Scan Unit; Nuclear Medicine and Mammography. The Women’s Wellness Center affords the women of Netanya a variety of well-planned diagnostic, therapeutic and educational programs to enhance their health and fitness.
Laniado Hospital’s Emergency Department and Trauma Unit has received numerous citations from the Army’s Home Front Command and the Health Ministry’s Division of Disaster Medicine for its outstanding performance during the recent Intifada. Eighteen terrorist attacks were perpetrated in Netanya during the past 5 years including the Seder Night Massacre. Many of the over 800 terror victims treated at the hospital owe their lives to the dedicated treatment they received from the heroic medical staff of Laniado’s Emergency and Trauma Unit.

CLINICAL RESEARCH
Laniado Hospital’s Physicians and Scientists are actively involved in a host of Clinical Research studies designed to improve and discover new methods for treating and preventing disease. Research Papers and Abstracts are regularly presented by our Physicians at many International Medical Conferences and published in leading Medical Journals.
A treatment discovered by 3 Senior Laniado Physicians for West Nile Virus disease has been heralded as the only known cure to date for the neurologic complications of this disease. A report on the discovery appeared in “Emerging Infectious Diseases”, published by the Centers for Disease Control of the National Institute of Health.
