WHAT WE DO
Get better, get the messageThe Middle East has become notorious for violence and conflict. But in the eye of the storm, a humanitarian centre is becoming a world leader in healthcare.
As doctors at Laniado Hospital in Netanya administer medicine, they do so with a mission. They are Israelis and Palestinians working side by side, providing healthcare to members of both communities. They heal their patients, and in doing so they heal the divide between their communities.
Patients leave Laniado realising the only box they needed to tick to be accepted there was the “I’m a human being” box. They take that prejudice-busting message back to their communities.
Some 45,000 people a year get better at Laniado. Which means that some 45,000 people get the message.
