Young Patrons Poker Evening
THE CHIPS ARE UP FOR LANIADO
Over
100 young men and women attended a professional poker tournament in Camden in
aid of Laniado Hospital.
High
level prizes and raffle items were on offer for the winner of a four and a half
hour charity poker tournament organised by the Laniado Young Patrons Committee,
headed by Richard Benson and his able team, including new member Anthony Plaskow. Long time and new players packed
into the venue, many staying on till the final round with Rafi Goldberg
emerging the eventual winner with multiple stacks of poker chips, and Chantal
Toube in second place.
Richard
Benson said, "The
event was a great success for both the players and the charity. Everyone
who competed got into the spirit of the cause and we raised over £9000 to
purchase a portable bedside monitor in the emergency room at Laniado for the
over 57,000 patients who come through its door annually."
